The genesis: expertise and awareness.

With 15 years of experience working with major international brands as a stylist and artistic director, Valentine Hotton has observed the industry from the inside. In 2022, she felt the urgency: fashion had to change, and WASTE was born.

Every year, thousands of tons of raw materials and leather from the biggest French luxury houses are destined for the landfill. We refuse to accept this reality. Fashion should not have to sacrifice the planet to exist.

We believe it's possible to create without polluting. We take concrete action by acquiring surplus stock directly from prestigious brands and transforming it into desirable, timeless micro-collections. Created in limited quantities, each piece guarantees responsible production, avoiding overproduction. Unique. Desirable. Conscious.

WASTE is more than just a clothing brand, it's a movement. We invite you to join us in co-creating a future where fashion is beautiful, sustainable, and respectful of the planet.

Waste can be beautiful.

A story of conviction

“After twelve years of experience and work serving numerous ready-to-wear brands in France, Europe, the United States and China, I have witnessed the excesses of an entire system linked to overproduction and overconsumption, particularly with factories overflowing with tons of fabric left to rot.

In an increasingly polluting sector, I've observed that the shift towards responsible production is far from underway. It therefore seems urgent to me to design and consume fashion differently.

Today I'm taking a big step and creating my own clothing brand. I want to continue doing the job I love without feeling guilty, while minimizing my impact and that of my industry.

We needed to give a second life to all these fabrics destined for the trash. That's how WASTE was born.

I want to offer women a wardrobe that combines elegance, confidence, comfort and integrity.

WASTE is a joint project; together we will move forward, create, and push boundaries.”
