Raw Japanese denim of rare quality, found in LVMH Group's dormant stock via Nona Source. 50 pieces, no more. Oversized fit, white topstitching, one size from 34 to 44. Raw denim develops a unique patina over time and becomes yours. Pascal is Valentine's stepfather's name. His work jacket stayed in the family. We wanted to create a piece with the same trajectory. First WASTE pre-order: we only produce what is ordered. Made in Poland. Each piece is numbered.

Raw Japanese denim, oversized fit, one size fits all. We sourced this fabric from Nona Source, the LVMH group's platform that repurposes surplus stock from major fashion houses. It's 100% cotton denim, unwashed and unstabilized, produced by one of the world's finest fabric manufacturers. This yardage will make 50 jackets. No more.

The story
Raw Japanese denim unearthed from the dormant stocks of the LVMH group
This fabric lay dormant. Stored, forgotten, destined never to become a garment again.
When Valentine, the founder and artistic director of WASTE, found it at Nona Source, she knew immediately that something had to be done with it. The density, the drape, the depth of the indigo. Raw denim like they're making less and less of: heavy, dense, alive to the touch.
The amount of fabric we have allows for 50 pieces. When it's gone, it's gone.
The piece

Pascal is an oversized raw denim jacket. Inspired by menswear and the workwear of a time when quality didn't need to be a selling point. Deliberately roomy, one size. Just roll up the sleeves, it works on everyone.
White contrast stitching across the entire jacket. On the cuffs and the chest pocket flap, the WASTE wave, an organic motif that evokes movement and the way time smooths things without erasing them.
Casual, work, going out, mid-season, summer over a dress or over a chunky sweater. It's an everywhere jacket with a sharp point of view. No need to think about it in the morning. You grab it and you're out the door.
The heritage
Pascal is a first name
It belonged to Valentine's father-in-law. The jacket that inspired ours was worn for years and is now part of her husband's own wardrobe. Not because it's vintage or collectible. Just because it's well made and no one ever wanted to let it go.
We wanted this jacket to follow the same path. To be kept, to be passed down. To outlast the season it was born in.

Raw denim
A fabric that moves with you
Raw denim isn't a static fabric. It will develop a patina over time, showing the creases of your movements and softening where you wear it most. After a few months, your jacket will be unlike any other.
The color may change slightly. This is what gives raw denim its depth and character. The fabric is alive, that's why we love it.
Caution: Raw denim may bleed color. Avoid contact with light-colored clothing or surfaces for the first few weeks. This will subside over time. A complete care guide will be available.

You order and pay between March 15 and 22. Production starts March 23. Your jacket is delivered between April 6 and 14. Your piece number depends on when you order.
Because that's what the yardage allows. This denim comes from the dormant stocks of Nona Source (LVMH group) and is no longer being produced. Once the 50 jackets are made, that's it.
The jacket is oversized by design. It falls well on all body types. The sleeves roll up to adjust. Whether you wear a US 2 or a US 14, it will work. That's the idea: you put it on and forget about it.
Yes. That's normal for untreated denim. For the first few weeks, avoid wearing the jacket with white pants. It fades quickly, and it's what makes your jacket different from every other one over time.
Yes. Within 14 days of delivery. Free returns in France and the European Union. The jacket must be unworn and in perfect condition. Refund processed within a few days after inspection.
